Remarks from David Virtue's interview with
African Anglican Bishop Rt. Rev. Hon. Rucyahana, of Rwanda
"The members of the Anglican Communion cannot let what happened in Rwanda,
a physical genocide, deflect from the spiritual genocide going on in ECUSA by
standing on the sidelines and watching and doing nothing. Therefore we
cannot stand by. We must take action."
"The preoccupation of ECUSA in its counsels and conventions has been almost
exclusively about sexuality, specifically homosexuality," said the African
Bishop.
Rucyahana said that the issue of sexuality, specifically homosexuality was
an American preoccupation if not an obsession and had become a form of
idolatry. "These issues are not even discussed as relevant in Africa. Sexual
sin is recognized for what it is. The real reason we have made a stand is
because of the issue of salvation that we hold to be through Jesus Christ
and Him alone."
